J. Jyrence has always been teetering on the creative side of the fence. Early on he kept it to himself until he fell headlong into the imagination pool. First he developed a love for comic books, his fascination with the groundbreaking artwork that so stimulated every creative bone in his body led him to copy the images on the pages in drawings very near to the ability of the artists he idolized. He developed this skill by creating his own characters as well as writing full-length stories in several titles of his own design. Aspiring to become a comic book illustrator, he needed an education in the field he intended to be a major part of. Born and raised in Newark New Jersey, artistic development on an elementary school level was non-existent. His only hope was to get accepted into Arts High School. A shining beacon of light where children of an extreme creative spirit could become who they were meant to be with the help of instructors that have also walked the same path. He passed the audition with flying colors, and over the next 4 years he was exposed to fine art, fashion design, sculpture, oil painting, and of course photography. This changed everything. Armed with the schools canon ae-1 he set out on a mission to see differently. Nothing was ever the same again. The world through the lens was much more beautiful than the one everyone else saw with they're naked eyes. Hell bent on becoming a photographer after graduation, life happened, he lost site of the path only to find it once again 24 years later. This time more driven, and even more determined to reach the creative goals he set for himself so many years before. The second act of the stage play called the life of J. Jyrence has begun... stay tuned.
